2009年、4年前にJhonn Balanceが亡くなった後、このImmortal Coilの「The Dark Age Of Love」は、イギリスのバンドCoilの20年にわたる素晴らしい仕事への賛辞として登場した。あらゆる分野のミュージシャンで結成されたこのアルバムは、評論家たちから、そして何よりもPeter Christopherson自身から賞賛された
13年の歳月が流れたが、このバンドへの情熱は決して揺らぐことはなかった。2010年にPeter Christophersonが亡くなった後、一方でMassimo Pupillo (Zü), Aho Ssan, Kristoffer Rygg (Ulver) など、この巨大なバンドに敬意を表したいミュージシャンとの出会いがあり、他方でStéphane Grégoire (Ici d’ailleurs) の新しい作品作りへの思いは2017年にタイトル “Where Are You” の初録音をもって形になったのである。前作同様、Coilの天才ぶりが発揮されるよう、この新作の実現には5年以上の歳月が必要だろう。
